Stop Arms Deliveries!

Since October 2023, Israel has been waging a war of annihilation in the Gaza Strip. According to official estimates, over 100,000 people have been killed – including tens of thousands of children. Throughout this, the German state has been a political, diplomatic, and military accomplice to Israel’s warfare: delivering arms exports officially valued at nearly half a billion euros between October 2023 and May 2025, Germany is largest arms supplier to Israel next to the USA.

Despite announcing a “halt on arms deliveries,” Germany continues supplying weapons that are used to murder Palestinians (read our statement on this).

What can you do? Get active against arms deliveries!

Didn’t the German government stop exporting arms to Israel in August 2025?

No. We must continue to increase pressure on Germany’s arms exports for the following reasons.

  1. Merz’s announcement is hypocritical: the German government continues to supply arms that are used to murder people in Palestine. The Federal Press Conference has confirmed that Merz’s statements only refer to a halt on new export licences for arms exports. Arms exports that have already been approved will not be stopped. All export licences for arms exports to Israel that were granted until August 2025 (amounting to almost half a billion euros from October 2023 to May 2025) remain in place! In other words, German weapons will continue to be used in Gaza to kill people. Furthermore, the suspension of licences is limited to ammunition for artillery, tanks and small arms. Export licences for warships will continue to be issued, as will those for other essential goods that Israel needs for its war. If the German government really wants to prevent arms from being used in Gaza in violation of international law, it must stop existing export licences for all war-related goods.
  2. Our demands go further: we demand not only that weapons that could be used in Gaza no longer be supplied, but a complete arms embargo. This means an end to all arms and military equipment deliveries from Germany to Israel. It also means an end to the purchase of weapons systems from Israel by Germany. Furthermore, we demand: a shift from arms and weapons production to civilian production! No social cuts for war, but money for social infrastructure, schools, public transport, not for the rearmament policy of Germany and NATO!
  3. It is not easy to track which weapons and armaments exports are being used in Gaza. The German government’s statements are contradictory. On the one hand, it has claimed in the past that no German weapons are being used in Gaza. At the same time, Merz announced on 8 August that: ‘Until further notice, no exports of military equipment that could be used in the Gaza Strip will be approved.’ In other words, the German government is well aware that German weapons were used in the genocide in Gaza. The German government does not say which weapons these are. A significant proportion of German arms deliveries to Israel are not complete weapons, but weapon parts that are then assembled in Israel. This makes it difficult to track which arms deliveries are being used where. We therefore say: All arms and military equipment exports to Israel must be stopped.
  4. Israeli war crimes are not limited to Gaza. In the West Bank, Lebanon, or attacks on Iran and Syria: the Israeli occupying power uses weapons for war throughout the Middle East and destabilises the region. German submarines, for example, play an important role in helping Israel wage war in the region. No weapons should be supplied to Israel.
  5. The import of Israeli weapons must also be stopped. Germany buys missile defence systems and drones from Israel, for example. The weapons systems that Israel exports are tested on Palestinians in the ‘Gaza laboratory’ and thus marketed in a perverse way. The import of Israeli weapons systems is part of the massive rearmament in Germany, which aims to plunge the country into active warfare in the context of NATO rearmament. If we want lasting peace, we must oppose not only the export of weapons, but also their import.
  6. The genocide continues! German weapons are still being used in Gaza to carry out the Zionist genocide of the Palestinians. Every day, people in Gaza are being murdered with Western weapons, and this is even ideologically justified in Germany. That is why we will continue to take to the streets until there is an arms embargo, until the genocide ends and until Palestine is free!
  7. Only growing political pressure will force the German government to end its support for genocide! The halt on new licences for arms deliveries is a consequence of the massive pressure on Germany’s comprehensive complicity in the genocide. Merz has not renounced Germany’s extensive support for Israel, but has emphasised it once again. Only growing protest will be able to dissuade the government from its course and force a complete halt to all arms deliveries.
